The General Transport Authority explains the most important technical equipment for taxis
Quoted from Al-Ahsa Today newspaper:
“Today (Thursday), the Public Transport Authority clarified the most important technical equipment for taxis, including (providing an electronic meter) to calculate the cost of trips.
She indicated that the technical equipment includes (printing invoices) to show the invoice number, the name of the establishment, the tax record, and the value of the transportation fare, and (live tracking) to show a map of the car’s routes, movements, stops, and total hours of operation, in addition to the car’s speed.
She added that these equipment include (electronic payment methods) using cards and smart devices, in addition to (sensors on all seats) to sense people weighing more than 15 kg.
The authority had previously announced the uniform for public taxi, airport fare, and private taxi drivers, as well as drivers of passenger transportation applications.”
